El compositor EDUARDO LAN, egresado del CIEM, se hizo acreedor del segundo lugar del "2nd. International Anton Dvor; Composition Competition", realizado en Praga, República Checa del 24 de julio al 1 de agosto de 2011 en la categoría "Senior".
La obra "Contextos", tambien de EDUARDO LAN participó intro del marco del 33 Foro Internacional de Msica Nueva Manuel Enríquez y fue escogida para cerrar el programa del día12 de junio en la Sala Blas Galindo así como en los programas de los día 24 y 26 de junio en el Teatro Degollado en Guadalajara. La obra puede ser escuchada en Youtube escribiendo: contextos eduardo lan.
La obra de Eduardo Lan cerra Foro Internacional, y JOSE JULIO DIAZ INFANTE, egresado del CIEM, lo abrimos con su la obra SATOR, basada en un cuadro m᧩co.
Ral Vizzi, también del CIEM, hizo la música de la película CAPADOCIA, y tambíen estuvo participación musical en PRESUNTO CULPABLE. En este documental también hay música de ALEJANDRO COLAVITA, egresado del CIEM.

El compositor FELIPE PEREZ SANTIAGO, egresado del CIEM, ha sido nominado para la DIOSA DE PLATA por la música de la película "Marcelino, pan y vino".
